Review: Tear Down and Die

Tear Down and Die
Tear Down and Die by Joanna Campbell Slan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

How many of us leave our past behind striking out for a bigger world, only coming back home by chance and finding there are pieces of ourselves we needed to recover. That is what Cara Mia Delgatto does. She comes back home for only a quick minute, or so she thought. A spur of the moment decision changes her life and leads her to an interesting mystery with twists and turns that leave the reader guessing. I will read the rest of the books in this series.

Review: Hostile Witness

Hostile Witness
Hostile Witness by Rebecca Forster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read in this series and by this author. The story kept me glued to my Kindle. Forster tells a riveting tale of anguished friendship, family secrets and human pain interspersed in a mystery with twists and turns that you won’t see the end coming. Great read.

Review: Scent of a $windle: A Josephine Stuart Mystery

Scent of a $windle: A Josephine Stuart Mystery
Scent of a $windle: A Josephine Stuart Mystery by Joyce Oroz
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is not the first book in this series that I have read. I have liked all of them. The Josephine Stuart Series centers around Josephine and her painting business, her loyal unique employees and the interesting jobs they encounter. The author has a skillful way of drawing her readers in, making them feel they are a part of the story. I always want to visit wherever Josephine is. Added to the characters and the mystery are the unique pets Josephine acquires. If you like mayhem, mystery and fun, this is the series for you.
